Resiliency Business Analyst

Currently, we are partnering with a regional healthcare organization that operates multiple hospitals and clinics. They are seeking an experienced Resiliency Business Analyst to lead a project to further the client’s resiliency and readiness programs.  This analyst role will collaborate with various business groups and stakeholders, investigate and map dependencies among applications and systems, develop prescribed processes, priorities, and sequencing for large-scale incidents.  Our client desires a resource that can develop a maintainable solution.

This role will support the organization’s strategic goal of maturing its response to extended, widespread incidents. The Resiliency Business Analyst will work closely with operational teams to map out full-service line recovery, including application dependencies, open network connections, vendor relationships, and IoT/biomedical device recovery. A key component of this work is conducting an assessment to better understand how these systems support care delivery—for example, identifying whether losing connectivity to a single application, vendor, or device would result in service degradation or a full interruption of care. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a comprehensive approach to resilience and recovery by gathering and analyzing this data and developing a structured restoration sequence.

This is a 12+ month staffed assignment for a large scale project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to identify and document dependencies to delivering services, including applications, vendor connections, IoT devices, and network requirements.
  • Conduct meetings, focus groups, and interviews with operational teams to collect necessary data for service line recovery.
  • Develop visual dependency maps and process diagrams to illustrate recovery sequences and key interdependencies.
  • Establish a prioritized restoration order for service lines.
  • Analyze collected data to identify critical vendors and potential recovery gaps.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, and operational stakeholders to define an effective and sustainable recovery strategy.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting on system dependencies and recovery processes.
  • Assist in developing frameworks and tools to support long-term resilience planning.
  • Design and implement an automated solution to keep the assessment up to date as new systems, applications, and technologies are introduced into the environment. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and data sources.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including experience leading meetings and conducting interviews to gather information.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and operational information into clear documentation and process flows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading projects and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Brings an optimistic mindset, assumes positive intent, and contributes to a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare operations, IT resilience, or business continuity planning.
  • Experience with Visio or similar diagramming tools preferred.
