E-Commerce Business Analyst

SUMMARY

In this multi-facetted role as a Business Analyst located in US with Global responsibilities, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, documenting business process and helping testing for all projects in an established e-commerce environment. Ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge of web analysis and strong background in analysis on multi-lingual global e-commerce web site. In this role you should be able to write technical specifications for desktop and mobile website enhancements that are implemented by our internal and external development team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility: Requirements and Analysis

  • Gather requirements from the key stakeholders by using requirement elicitation techniques like brainstorming, requirement workshops, focus groups and others.
  • Directly responsible for developing business requirements for all digital and technical implementations, enhancements and/or change requests in order to solutionize identified business gaps.
  • Liase between technical teams/developers and business units to provide operational support and ensure system functionality expectations are documented accurately and requirements have been met.
  • Regularly analyze customer behavior metrics and analytics to identify and recommend business strategies, requirements, and testing plans in order to better serve the customer and advance sales growth.
  • Create business and user requirements documentation including use cases.
  • Gather, document, analyze, and translate case requirements.
  • Document and identify areas where additional insight is required.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of current business practices, processes, and tools.
  • Drive business improvement thru analysis and identify gaps in current processes.
  • Elicit feature requirements from the business; develop use case scenarios, work flow diagrams, and story boards

Responsibility: Project Management

  • Define the scope of the work and communicate / collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain overall project documentation and communicate updates or roadblocks.
  • Develop a standard process for communicating changes and release notes for all projects impacting customers and business users
  • Work with others to document the Project status and drive the project to completion.
  • Developing statements of work, schedules and project timelines
  • Coordinating teams including designers, web developers, Flash developers, web analytics; teams located in house, across the country and over seas
  • Manage product backlog; prioritize feature requests for maximum organizational value

Responsibility: Testing

  • Coordinate and participate in the system and user testing phases, ensuring business needs are met.
  • Work as part of a team to complete FIT (Functional Integration Testing) /UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for production releases.
  • Drive effective functional, user, and regression testing processes
  • Create, document and oversee the execution of all business test cases that imitate the digital customer experience based on the aforementioned defined requirements.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Display a positive and professional attitude as well as maintain a professional appearance at all times as an example to team members
  • Previous experience with project-related work, such as testing and case management, preferred
  • Business analysis training and experience preferred
  • Technical writing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation, and written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; must be able to meet strict, and often tight, deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment

Requirements: Skills

  • Relevant Business or Marketing degree required.
  • 5 year work experience in this role.
  • Experience in e-commerce web projects is a must.
  • Experience in Digital Analytics reporting
  • Wire framing tools.
  • UML, MS Vision, Balsamiq

Requirements: Desired Skills

  • Experience in Agile methodology and tools like Jira/Confluence
